Job Overview: Trainee Investigator (EPWP)
The primary role of a Trainee Investigator is to support the Office of the Ombudsman in fulfilling its mandate to investigate complaints as outlined in the Ombudsman By-Laws, 2023. This position is vital for upholding integrity within municipal governance.

- Contract Duration: Short-term (Not exceeding 18 months)
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Degree in Law from a recognised institution.
- Residency: Only City of Joburg residents will be considered.
- Experience: Relevant experience is not mandatory but will be considered an added advantage.
Key Performance Areas & Competencies
As a Trainee Investigator, you will be involved in the following activities:
- Complaint intake and initial assessment.
- Investigative support, research, and data analysis.
- Stakeholder engagement and awareness outreach.
- Reporting and documentation.
