Key Purpose
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is seeking a talented Health & Safety Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Risk Specialist. This role is pivotal in maintaining safety data, ensuring legal compliance, and fostering a culture of safety within our manufacturing environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Data & Documentation Administration: Maintain accurate records for incidents, risk assessments, training, toolbox talks, and corrective actions.
- Safety Systems Support: Ensure timely data capture into safety platforms and assist in generating performance reports.
- Audit & Inspection Prep: Support the H&S Manager with documentation for internal/external audits and track follow-up action items.
- Training & Induction: Coordinate H&S training sessions, medicals, and inductions for employees and contractors.
- Legal Compliance: Manage a filing system for legal appointments, permits, and contractor documents; track expiry dates for fire equipment and PPE calibration.
- Communication & Engagement: Distribute safety updates and assist in organizing “Safety Days” and H&S promotional activities.
- General Support: Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes for H&S committee meetings.
Skills, Experience & Education
Education
- Minimum: National Certificate or Diploma in Office Administration, Health and Safety Administration, or equivalent.
- Advantageous: H&S-related coursework or AMTRAC exposure.
Experience
- 2–3 years of administrative experience (preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments).
- Prior experience in a Health and Safety or Compliance function is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with document control and regulatory compliance processes.
Required Skills
- Technical: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and H&S systems.
- Compliance: Knowledge of the South African OHS Act and basic H&S terminology.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage confidential information.
