Position Overview
The primary objective of the Care Worker in the Medical ICU is to support nursing unit staff in the delivery of safe, efficient, and quality patient care. Employment Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following educational and experience criteria:
Education
- Essential: An appropriate qualification as a Care Worker.
- Desired: Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
Experience
- Essential: Previous experience working within a healthcare environment is required.
Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Proficiency in patient care principles and infection prevention and control.
- Fundamental understanding of Medico-legal risks and hospital administrative tasks.
- Knowledge of stock control principles and reporting procedures.
- Understanding of the various aspects that contribute to a positive patient experience.
