Job Purpose

To transport commuters safely and reliably to various destinations on time as per schedule and on correct routes, complying with all road and traffic rules and
regulations.

Essential Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12).
• Code 8 /EB Driver’s License or Code C1.
• Minimum five (5) years experience driving heavy-duty vehicles or Heavy-
  duty Public Bus Transportation utilities.
• Should be willing to work flexi -hours. 
• Knowledge of Metrobus ‘Routes will be an added advantage.

Key performance areas

• To operate the vehicle in a professional manner. 
• Ensuring that the vehicle is clean, well maintained and in a roadworthy condition. 
• Daily pre- trip inspection of the Vehicle by checking brakes, lights and any damages on the vehicle. 
• Ensure that he /she avails himself / herself for the shift at the determined time. 
• To report timeously for the shift to perform the pre-check inspection and other administrative duties.
• To operate the vehicle in a professional manner to promote the image of the company. 
• To drive the vehicle with due respect and being courteous to other road-users.
• To be presentable by wearing a clean and neat uniform.
