We are looking for a self-motivated individual with proven experience and knowledge in operating a Reach Truck, Pallet Truck or Bendi to move merchandise and materials around the warehouse. Here is your opportunity to shine within a challenging role where you can grow.
Key Responsibilities
Operate the lifting equipment to move stock around the warehouse. Operate the equipment in a safe and controlled manner. Assist with the loading and unloading of any trucks, trailers and / or containers. Ensure that all materials moved is stored / stacked in the appropriate manner as prescribed in our SOPs.
Daily inspection of equipment and perform minor preventative maintenance. Taking ownership of the assigned equipment to ensure that it is maintained and used in an appropriate manner. Manually load or unload stock on pallets, skids, platforms or lifting devices.
Ensure equipment is returned to the designated location. When not operating the lifting equipment you may be assigned to any other distribution duties as required by the supervisor or manager. Oversee the export cage. Attend to reject spurs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric or equivalent qualification would be advantageous
- Ideally a valid / appropriate material moving equipment license.
- Proven track record in successfully operating a forklift in an around a DC.
- Extensive experience in operating Reach truck at 13,5m heights (Traceable references)
