Minimum Qualification and Requirements
To qualify for the Afrimat General Worker position, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate (Matric).
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working as a General Worker.
- Previous experience in operating heavy machinery will be advantageous.
- Must be able to work under pressure and maintain high performance in demanding environments.
- Must be medically fit in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act and company standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to perform a variety of general labor and maintenance tasks at the Tygerberg Quarry site. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting operators with maintenance work.
- Cleaning and maintaining the worksite to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
- Working effectively with hand tools.
- Following all instructions and safety protocols carefully.
- Performing any other manual tasks as required on site.
- Conducting regular housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and order in the work area.
