Role Overview and Core Responsibilities
The successful candidate will step in as an educator assistant to inspire young minds, manage classroom environments, and build core professional skills. The scope of work spans across multiple key performance areas:
- Instructional Support: Actively assisting the main teacher in daily academic duties, preparation of learning materials, and administrative tasks.
- Classroom Management: Overseeing classroom design, structural setup for optimal learner performance, enforcing positive disciplinary rules, and handling professional communication with learners and parents.
- Academic Monitoring: Planning and managing homework schedules per grade level, coordinating structured revisions, and tracking individual reading levels and progress.
- Extramural Coordination: Planning, executing, and managing school extramural activities, sports, and educational outings.
Minimum Requirements and Skills

- Educational Qualifications: Must hold a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree or be actively pursuing a relevant teaching qualification.
- Curriculum Knowledge: A solid foundational understanding of the CAPS curriculum framework.
- Professional Registration: Must be SACE-registered (South African Council for Educators) or possess valid provisional registration.
- Core Competencies: Excellent communication, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
- Technical Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Background Security: A completely clear criminal record is mandatory.
