This role is designed for a hunter—a dynamic sales professional who thrives on identifying new customers, generating fresh business opportunities, and contributing directly to Maersk’s commercial growth. You will be responsible for building a strong pipeline, engaging prospects, and closing opportunities that support our DTS business strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate new business through lead identification, cold calling, networking, referrals, and market research
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing and prospective customers
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products or services
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and successfully close sales deals
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in SFDC systems
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and provide market insights
  • Ensure timely payment collection and address customer issues effectively.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

A results‑driven sales professional with:

  • 3–5 years of sales experience, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Proven experience as a hunter focused on new business generation.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capabilities.
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding (advantage, not mandatory).
  • Ability to work independently, manage a busy pipeline, and deliver against sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Salesforce (SFDC) experience is a plus.
  • A valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirement: Matric (Grade 12).
  • Bonus / Preferred: A Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
