Job Purpose
The primary objective of these roles is to maintain high standards of housekeeping at the Necsa site. Successful candidates will ensure that designated buildings and areas are kept clean, safe, and well-maintained in accordance with Necsa’s strict SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) requirements.
Key Performance Areas
Working as a cleaner at a facility like Necsa involves more than basic tidying. Key responsibilities include:
- General Cleaning: Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting all office facilities.
- Waste Management: Frequent disposal of trash from bins and containers.
- Deep Cleaning: Carrying out specialized deep cleaning tasks and ad-hoc projects as required.
- Stock Control: Monitoring and maintaining supply rooms to ensure cleaning materials are always available.
- Maintenance Reporting: Identifying and notifying management of any facility deficiencies or necessary repairs.
- Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to Worker Safety protocols and SHEQ compliance, including Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) standards.
Requirements and Qualifications

Education and Experience
- Grade 12 (Matric): A completed Senior Certificate is mandatory.
- Proven Experience: Demonstrated history in a similar cleaning role.
- Technical Experience: At least 2 years of cleaning experience, specifically including the ability to operate polishing and stripping machines.
Key Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in handling heavy cleaning equipment and industrial machinery.
- Sound knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe application.
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) to ensure chemical safety.
