Minimum Job Requirements
To qualify for this position, applicants must fulfill the following base criteria listed below.
- Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen with documentary proof.
- Education: Possession of an ABET Level 4 / Grade 9 / Standard 7 certificate or report (NQF Level 1 recognized by SAQA).
- Languages: Proficiency in English and at least one other official language.
- Skills: Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills. Ability to operate elementary machines, tools, lawnmowers, and tractors. Understanding of cleaning detergents and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) protocols.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
Key Performance Duties
- Maintaining high-level hygiene standards in and around SAPS premises.
- Routine maintenance tasks, removing refuse bags, and general garden upkeep.
- Loading/unloading goods and washing/cleaning state vehicles.
- Driving and operating gardening machinery and tractors.
