Job Purpose And Key Responsibilities
The primary role of a Jozi Ihlomile Site Coordinator is to manage, supervise, and support teams of field educators operating within targeted communities. Coordinators ensure that public health campaigns are executed efficiently and that field data reflects true community needs.
- Supervise daily field operations and manage teams of Jozi Ihlomile Health Educators.
- Monitor door-to-door community outreach schedules and ensure health education targets are met.
- Build and maintain functional working relationships with local ward councillors, clinics, and community stakeholders.
- Oversee the referral system, ensuring community members identified by educators successfully reach health and social services.
- Collect, verify, and compile weekly and monthly progress reports from field workers for submission to regional health managers.
Minimum Appointment Requirements
To be considered for the Site Coordinator role, candidates must satisfy the following minimum criteria:
- Grade 12 qualification (NQF Level 4).
- An additional qualification in Project Management, Community Development, Public Health, or a related field will be highly advantageous.
- Previous experience in supervising teams or managing community outreach projects.
- Good understanding of local health challenges, including HIV/AIDS, TB, and social issues.
- Sound communication skills, with proficiency in local languages spoken within the target region.
- Must be a verified resident of the specific region or ward being applied for.
