About the Role
This is a permanent, full-time position. As an Artisan Substation, you will be responsible for executing maintenance activities during plant shuts or special interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Execution: Carry out equipment maintenance safely; perform testing and commissioning prior to operational handover.
- Diagnostics: Identify plant equipment issues timeously and sustainably.
- Workflow Management: Execute work orders according to schedules and specific SAP work instructions.
- Reliability: Provide input into root cause analysis (RCA) to resolve issues affecting equipment reliability.
- Process Improvement: Initiate updates to work procedures to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Logistics: Ensure adequate scoping of corrective work and manage the return of unused or repairable materials.
About You
We are looking for a skilled professional with a strong background in heavy industrial environments.
Experience & Skills:
- Core Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a qualified Electrician.
- Technical Expertise: 3+ years of experience with High Voltage Systems and Substations is essential.
- Specialized Knowledge: Essential experience in Switchgear and Transformer maintenance.
- Advantageous Skills: Cable joints/terminations, UPS/battery chargers, and Medium Voltage certification.
Qualifications: - N3 Technical Certificate.
- Valid Electrical Trade Test.
- Valid Code B (08) Driver’s License.
