What to Expect From the Programme
The Truworths WIL programme is a comprehensive practical training experience. Participants will be fully immersed in daily retail store operations, gaining exposure to various facets of business and management. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Retail Knowledge: Learning and forming foundational knowledge critical to navigating the fast-paced retail environment.
- Customer Service: Assisting customers with finding merchandise and building strong, lasting relationships to ensure a premium shopping experience.
- Merchandising: Displaying and organizing stock on the shop floor according to strict company principles and visual standards.
- Financial Transactions: Processing customer payments and purchases efficiently at the point of sale.
- Account Management: Opening new customer accounts and driving credit acquisition.
- Stock Control: Assisting in maintaining and controlling stock losses to optimize inventory management.
- Safety & Security: Maintaining high standards of customer security and safety within the store premises.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this nationwide internship opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African Citizen.
- Must be a student with a completed N6 National Certificate in one of the following fields:
- Human Resources (HR)
- Business / Office Administration
- Business Management
- Management Assistant
- Business Studies (or a related field)
- No previous work experience is required.
- Must be computer literate.
