Job Purpose

The primary function of the Officer: Administration (Employment Equity & Diversity Management) is to assist with the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of Employment Equity (EE), Gender Mainstreaming, Disability, and Diversity Management within the Core Administration of the City of Johannesburg.

Key Responsibilities & Performance Areas

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

  • Data Gathering & Reporting: Conduct data gathering and prepare quantitative and qualitative information for tabling at respective consultative forums, departmental communications, and inclusion in EE and Diversity Management reports.
  • Technical Support: Provide EE and Diversity Management technical support to the City’s Talent Acquisition Function.
  • Events & Projects: Assist with the coordination and implementation of EE and Diversity Management events and projects.
  • Administrative & Forum Support: Provide administrative support to the EE and Diversity Management Office and Citywide Consultative structures, including:
    • Central Employment Equity Forum
    • Inter-Departmental Disability Forum
    • Gender Steering Committee meetings
  • Document Processing: Perform all document processing and recordkeeping activities related to the division.
  • Service Provider Sourcing: Assist in sourcing service providers related to EE and Diversity Management.

Minimum Requirements
