The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is currently seeking organized and dedicated individuals to join their team as Grants Administrators in the ZF Mgcawu District. Position Overview

  • Post: Grants Administrator: Grants Administration X2 (Salary Level 05)
  • Salary: R 237 453.00 – R 279 708.00 p.a. (exclusive of benefits)

Minimum Requirements

​To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • ​A Senior Certificate plus an undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) as recognized by SAQA.
  • ​Preferred fields of study: Public Administration, Public Management, Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Social Sciences, Social Security, Law, or Information Technology.
  • Computer literacy is essential.

Key Responsibilities

​The successful incumbents will support the administration of Social Grants at the Local Office level. Duties include:

  • ​Effectively screening and capturing all grant applications.
  • ​Providing off-site grant application processes.
  • ​Administering medical bookings and assessments.
  • ​Scanning, batching, and filing documents.
  • ​Performing other grant administration functions and quality control.
  • ​Ensuring adherence to Section 57 of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
