This role is designed to assist to control raw materials, by timely receiving, storing and issuing raw materials to the manufacturing plants
Roles and Responsibilities
- Storekeeping of raw materials
- Responsible for ensuring that stock is received accurately
- Offload products from vehicles and move into the stores
- Pick and issue stock as per requirements
- Movement of products between sites and magazines
- Ensure appropriate equipment and consumables are available and in working order. Reports defective equipment to senior person
- Assist Warehouse Controller with raw material cycle counts
- Ensure SAP inventory data reconciles with the levels on an daily basis
- Ensure raw material metrology checks are conducted where applicable
- Comply with Safety, Health and Environment standards
- Responsible for good housekeeping in and around all stores/magazines at all times.
- Comply with governance and established policies, systems, procedures and practices
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric
- At least 1-2 years’ experience in storekeeping and material handling knowledge gained either by studies or by experience in a stores environment.
- Be able to read, write and speak English
- Ability to carry out mathematical calculations
- Code 10 Drivers Licence
- Forklift license
- Working Knowledge of SAPR3 will be an added advantage
