Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of employee data and the smooth operation of time-tracking systems. Primary duties include:
- Time & Attendance Management: Capturing, reviewing, and validating records such as timesheets, clockings, and leave requests.
- System Maintenance: Operating X Time and SAP Time Management systems to ensure data accuracy.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Liaising with employees and line managers to correct errors in attendance records.
- Payroll Support: Processing overtime, shift differentials, and other time-related transactions for payroll input.
- Reporting: Preparing regular and ad-hoc time and attendance reports for HR and Payroll departments.
- Compliance & Audits: Providing documentation for audits to demonstrate compliance with company policies and South African legislation.
- Departmental Coordination: Submitting monthly reports to the Department of Health and managing clock card issuance for staff and business partners.
Required Skills and Experience
To be considered for this role at Glencore, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
- Experience: A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in time and attendance or payroll administration.
- Technical Proficiency: Proven experience with XTime and SAP S/4Hana is essential.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, specifically advanced Excel functions like pivot tables and lookups.
- Soft Skills: Strong numerical competence, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with high discretion.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with staff at all levels of the organization.
